I was born eons ago in Kamloops, British Columbia, in 1958, and only recently became an author. Nectar (2015) is my debut eBook featuring Vancouver-based private investigator Roger Hull and one which incorporates real geographical locations around the city.
Imagine it as a hard-boiled detective story in a style echoing the works of Raymond Chandler or Dashiell Hammett—two of my favourite authors—but one set in the future. Their stories inspired me to pick up a pen and write.
Ultraviolet (2016) is the sequel to Nectar. The next installment of the series is in the planning stages.
I have also recently started cartooning. To date, I have created two volumes of "in the shadows". Both eBooks (vol. 1 in 2017 and vol. 2 in 2018) are collections of fifty original ink-and-water colour cartoons inspired by both my fondness for Halloween and the works of my favourite cartoonist, Charles Addams of The Addams Family fame. Ideas for a third volume of cartoons in this series are clanging around inside my head.
Crossword puzzle construction is another creative interest of mine. I am a regular contributor of spy-themed crosswords for SPYSCAPE—a company with an interactive spy museum in New York City.
