I started constructing crossword puzzles in the 1980s, beginning with entertainment-themed puzzles which were published by the Teletimes—a now-defunct TV guide which serviced the Thompson-Okanagan area of British Columbia.
Following that, I made variously-themed puzzles for both the New York Times and Simon & Schuster throughout the 1990s before quitting around 2000 to pursue other creative interests.
Only recently have I returned to crossword construction on a semi-regular basis. To my delight, I have become a regular supplier of spy-themed puzzles for SPYSCAPE—a company with an interactive spy museum in New York City. I have also been published in the Los Angeles Times.
In 2023, I debuted in Crucinova, an independent subscription puzzle service featuring high-quality, professionally edited grids created by diverse constructors.
In early 2024, I debuted in The Browser—a curation and recommendation newsletter—with my first cryptic crossword.
Hopefully, crossword fans will experience the same enjoyment in solving my puzzles as I did while creating them.
